8th Annual Native American Thanksgiving Celebration
Saturday, November 22: 10am-4pm
Celebrate Thanksgiving in the Native American tradition of appreciation of the natural world. Learn how tools, weapons, musical instruments and toys are made from natural objects. Try your hand at throwing a spear, grind corn, hear stories, make crafts, and find out how to start a fire without matches. Refreshments will be available. Fee is $5 for adults and no charge for children.

Post Feast Walk

You'll feel better about feasting yesterday when you get out and walk today. Spend some time outdoors and walk off that gravy and pumpkin pie. We'll start at the nature center and walk for about 1.5 hours. Call 872-0800 to register. **Pre-registration required.

2nd Annual Parade of Lights
November 29, 2008: Catskill
Sponsored by the Catskill Fire Company Ladies Auxilliary. Raindate: Saturday, November 29th. Parade starts at 7pm. Line up will be at 6pm at the Catskill High School parking lot (please use West Main Street entrance). You will line up in accordance with your arrival. We welcome any float, marcher or decorated vehicle. We ask that NO Santa is used, as the Catskill Fire Department will be bringing Santa to town at the end of the parade. After the parade there will be a tree lighting and awards ceremony in the county parking across from the police station.

Wreath-Making Workshop
Saturday, November 29, 2008: 10am-1pm
Make your own beautiful holiday wreath from fragrant balsam greens. Fee of $15 includes all materials. Please bring your own clippers and any special items for decoration. Holiday House Tours-Olana Historic Site
Friay December 5th, 2008: 11am-4pm
Visit Olana for Christmas with the Churches, a look at how the family spent the Holiday at home. Hear oldest son Frederic Joseph's letter to Santa Claus to find out just what gifts the children wished for, and hear what other family and visitors wrote about the experience. Admission is free for members of The Olana Partnership.
